I am working on segmenting my network. This week I moved from Orbi to Ubiquity wifi 6 mesh APs. I set up 3 vlans and have them all running off of port 1 on my firewalla.I don’t have any managed switches yet. I have several dumb switches but my main one is a 24-port switch that is mounted in my network cabinet. My main switch is plugged into the firewalla in port 1 and the APs are plugged into the switchI have several wired IOT devices I would like to get on the same vlan as my IOT wifi network. I am assuming I would need a managed switch to do that.My main question is. Can I keep using my 24-port dumb switch for my trusted network and plug it into a managed switch? Will that be enough to carry the vlan tag to the firewalla? Can I use a combination of a smaller managed switch and dumb switches downstream?
