How do un-insured/under insured folks do it?

TL;DR-Trying to get diagnosed so I can get help, my insurance covers literally nothing and am stuck. Can't afford to go out of pocket, can't afford to do in network with my high copays. How do you manage if you're in a similar situation? So I was feeling somewhat relieved to have made an appointment, which was supposed to be today, till I noticed that my "estimated copay" was $95. Keep in mind, this is for my PCP not a specialist. (If I had know that would be the cost I maybe could have planned for it but with a toddlers bday around the corner and just general life I don't really have $100 to spare right now) so I call my insurance to see what's going because in my summary of benefits it shows there would be no charge for seeing my PCP. Well, turns out there is no charge only after my deductible has been met. So that's fun. I'm fully aware that I should have caught this when I enrolled but if I'm being honest, I just signed up for what looked like a decent plan at the time without doing a deep dive into the benefits (Could just be me but it is criminal how convoluted health insurance plans lay out their coverages/benefits. Literally should be a criminal offense).I felt like I was drowning for so much of my life, and even knowing I had taken even the smallest of first steps felt like I could finally see some light at the end of the tunnel. But now it feels like it's back to square one. It seems I'm better off just accepting that I will forever be untreated and doing my best to navigate life as such.
