Hi everyone,So I am fairly new to the field of network engineering. I am currently studying to get my CCNA and learn Linux, git, and python for network automation. I wanted thoughts and onions from people well into their careers about the future of this industry in terms of having job security and career growth potential.I've been on helpdesk for a while and finally moved into a network engineering role and I wanted to know if I am on a good path for job security. Obviously it is not good to be complacent at a job and is always good to keep learning new skills. But I wanted to know if it is a good idea to pursue higher and more advanced roles in networking or to move into a different discipline in the future. When I speak with network engineers currently in the field they usually reinforce going into Software engineering. Which makes me feel as if I am going down a path that won't be relevant in the future. Any feedback is appreciated.
