Game mode concept: Rift Race

LOREThe stalemate between Alpha Earth and Omega Earth has gone on for too long. Now is the time to settle this once and for all - in an interdimensional skirmish where worlds collide.Which reality will emerge victorious?MECHANICSThere are 2 opposing teams - the VALORANT Protocol and the VALORANT Legion, each with a base located at opposite ends of each map, and each with 2 spike sites (which has stashes of Radianite crates) that they have to protect. Each team has to take the spike that initially spawns at the center of the map and plant it at a spike site belonging to the opposing team. When the spike is planted, the spike starts siphoning Radianite from its surroundings, which is represented by a percentage bar that counts up from 0% to 100%. When it reaches 100%, the spike detonates and your team wins the round. The opposing team can pause this progress bar by defusing the spike. When the spike is defused, the agent who defused it picks it up, and it can be passed on to their teammates and planted at a spike site belonging to the opposing team. Each round lasts 3 minutes, and agents respawn after a long timer when they die. The respawn timer increases depending on how far into the round it is. When the timer expires, whichever team has the higher percentage wins the round. If it's tied, the round goes into sudden death and respawning becomes disabled.First team to to win 7 rounds wins the match.MAPSThe game mode has symmetrical maps, similar to TDM. Each end of the map has the two opposing teams' shielded bases where they spawn in, and each team has spike sites that they must protect from the opposing team.Lore-wise, the two halves of the map are the exact same location in the two Mirror Earths with a "dimensional rift" at the middle connecting them. There are different pickups scattered across the map that spawn periodically, such as Ultimate Orbs (+1 Ultimate Charge), Health Orbs (restores HP), Ammo Orbs (refills ammo and non-ultimate abilities), Credit Orbs (gives money to the whole team), and sometimes free guns (skin will be a randomized one owned by a random player in the match).Map ideas:Amp - a Radianite plant that powers a vast network of cities and towns in Mexico, including the one Reyna is protecting.Freight - a shipping terminal in Neon's hometown of Manila, Philippines where Radianite is handled.Hub - a Kingdom R&D complex at a technological district in Germany where Killjoy once worked at.Summit - a sacred site in Ghana where Astra congregates with the Astral Guardians.ECONOMYSimilar to standard VALORANT, both teams start with the base 800 credits at first round, but can buy at the base they spawn in at any point in the match. Picking up Credit Orbs gives money to the whole team. Every agent also has a steady passive income of credits.Upon death, you lose your gun but not your abilities. Deployables that were not destroyed (Viper wall, etc) are returned to you. Both teams are awarded a set amount of credits at the start of the next round, with the winning team having a higher reward. You also get to keep the guns you were carrying from the previous round.Certain guns such as the Operator cannot be bought and are only available as a pickup.Standard rewards for killing enemies and planting the spike remain the same.
