[D] Looking to Network / Make Friends in the ML Space

Hello all,I am a medical doctor specializing in internal medicine that transitioned to software engineering a few years ago. I've been working in the web-app space developing solutions that extend the functionality of a popular electronic medical record system (teach stack being MERN + GQL + Proprietary Tech from the EMR), and I currently lead a small team of engineers in that effort at a closed healthcare system servicing approximately 100,000 patients (rich with high value structure and unstructured data). And, presently my plan is to transition into the ML space as I believe there will be ample opportunity, given my background, to engage in anything from research to entrepreneurial endeavors. My experience as a consumer of the LLM's has both impressed me and thoroughly convinced me that we're on the precipice of a revolution in the healthcare space (among all the others). In addition to finding ML quite interesting, I'd love to participate in that revolution. As such, I enrolled in a Masters of CS (previously self taught) in preparation as I've noticed that ML tends to be far more academic than many forms of software engineering I've previously been exposed to (despite their sometimes hilarious attachment to leet code). I've completed 30% of my masters, focusing primarily on foundational courses like operating systems, information security, and networking. And, I'm about to focus the remainder of my course on ML. To date, however, none of my MS classes have been in ML. I've completed a few introductory course on ML via Coursera and Udemy, and am actively getting through Mathematics of Machine Learning and the Machine Learning Specialization through DeepLearning.ai.With that, it's been my observation that finding answers to questions and directions in the ML space is more challenging than doing so as a self-taught SWE in the traditional web app space. And, I've noticed many of the people in my graduate program are as confused as I am and the hoardes of individuals hoping for attention from the small team of academic researchers renders the odds of academic mentorship a bit low unless one chooses the PhD route and gets a good PI.So, I was hoping to meet some people who I can develop relationships with over time. I am not certain I can offer much, but I'm reasonably proficient as a developer and do have a relatively uncommon combination of subject matter "expertise" (used loosely).Anyway, if anybody is interesting in connecting, please feel free to reach out! I do work full time and keep a pretty busy schedule as I'm sure many of you do, so please forgive me in advance if I run a bit slow on my replies.Best wishes in the meantime.
