Hello Everyone!I just recently updated to the TPlink Deco 65 Pro (Best Buy/Costco) from an older Asus Wifi 6 setup. I have had the TPlink setup for about a week now and for the most part it has been solid (a few minor hiccups, but mostly of my doing). Speeds are good overall and mostly happy with the setup. I have continued to research and was considering changing the system over to an ASUS ZenWifi BT10 (BE18000) as I do like the options and features with the ASUS routers. I am not a huge fan of the TPLink Deco app and really do not like the additional "secuirty" subscriptions (and advertising for such). Probably my biggest concern is the fact that the IoT network is just a basic additional SSID vs being on a different VLAN.... and while yes, device isolation is now available... when I activate that it makes some apps not able to communicate with the IoT device. I read that while not perfect, the ASUS does seperate the ioT devices to a seperate VLAN keeping the main network safe. We have several Wifi 7 devices connected, so WiFi 7 is where we want to be. It scares me with some of the reviews I have seen on the BT10, but it also seems like ASUS is fixing them quickly. Any imput or suggestions would be appreciated. I will tell you that I plan to stick to 1 of these 2 systems and will not be looking at other systems, I am aware there are some better ones out there for more $$.. these 2 systems are in my price range.Thank you!
