There are two types of home networks I see. General consumer style mesh and enterprise/Unifi. Enterprise/UniFiJust because you have "enterprise network equipment" doesn't mean it's configured correctly.CCIE's with no field experience are the bane of my existence. In fact, I would argue that all the knobs and switches enterprise equipment let's you set allows you to more easily configure your network in a non-standard way. This can 100% lead to unexpected behavior.Maybe that unexpected behavior is just with Sonos, but that doesn't mean Sonos is at fault. Correlation does not equal causation. If you sincerely believe Sonos is at fault. Provide us/Sonos with network infra debug logs, packet and mon-mode captures. If you don't know how to interpret, or at the very least collect the data, you shouldn't be configuring your own enterprise gear, or at the very least, you shouldn't be posting here confidently blaming Sonos.Case in point, I used to work for Cisco. My entire network stack except for my opnsense router and an edgeswitch in my Patch Panel is Cisco Enterprise.I was having issues and through mon mode pcaps and device logs realized my minimum bitrate combined with tx power was to low. Haven't had issues since. When in doubt, simplify and revert your configs to try and emulate a traditional home network.Consumer GearThis is a bit more hazy. Sonos is likely testing their builds against mainstream brands like eero. Focus on reducing confounding variables. Eg. Streaming dropouts. - Does it happen on all or one? Are there similarities in distance/placement/mesh nodes it's connected to?If you're using wireless backhaul, what's the backhaul connection between mesh nodes look like?Keep in mind...Sonos is likely the most network/latency sensitive device in your home. Especially when it comes to multi-speaker streamingMost multi-room audio solutions have different ways of handling network discovery and streaming. Airplay incorporates a 2s audio buffer for audio only.Reduce the variables.Disable all your mesh nodes so all Sonos nodes connect to the core mesh router. test behavior. (If this fixes the issue you need to investigate your network infra settings. If possible, try "locking" all of your Sonos devices to the core node)try swapping your smart switch with a dumb switch and/or configure it to flood unknown multicast/broadcasts. If that fixes the issue congrats! IGMP snooping (and snooping querier) likely wasn't configured correctlytl;dr - Sonos might have historically had some issues when it came to networks like the dual band w/same ssid name fiasco, but more often than not it's not a Sonos issue. It's a customer network issue that's affecting Sonos.
