First off, I don't actually want or need a VPN. But unfortunately my landlord got really into the YouTuber Rob Braxman who sells a bunch of privacy related products. Specifically now he wants me to get the BraxRouter which from what I see uses his BraxVPN. Apparently it just gets hardwired to my existing network and broadcasts its own wifi, and then my landlord can just connect to that directly and the rest of my network goes untouched. Between Google and common sense I know enough to know that it's probably not a good purchase. And through my job I have some network experience, and I currently have a unifi system (ucg ultra + 3 APs) for our network currently. Just a quick Google shows that BraxVPN isn't the ideal choice (no surprise) & I'd prefer not to give money to them. If I wanted to buy something similar just to keep the peace what exactly do I need to do? We already have a cat6 to an ideal location, is there a similar device I could use to give him his own wifi with a VPN? Or even with my unifi equipment already I can easily separate an SSID or even VLAN, I just don't have any experience with VPNs. Again, I don't actually need or want the VPN for my entire home network.
