So i am trying to figure out a way to do sort of a vm where it is not connected to my host machine. The reason i am trying to obtain this is because i would like to do malware analysis and digital forensics investigation on my machine and i don't want to have my host machine affected by the work i do such as getting viruses on my machine transferred from a host machine. I have set up a host only network on ubuntu and it says my ubuntu machine is connected but i unfortunately cannot get to a website. I am just wondering if i am missing something or if their is something i do not fully understand that i am doing wrong. Does a host only even allow internet access?
