Looking to upgrade my second phone, currently using Xiaomi 9s but it’s too big and heavy for the use. Need 2 real sim card slots (to receive notifications from 2 sim issued in other countries, upgrading those to eSim is a challenge so talking 72 modifications) and 3.5 jack. I really loved Galaxy s22 but need 3.5 jack every day (connect to e drums and to guitar mixer to play along with my playlists). Was even thinking of Galaxy s10e but it’s end of life and battery life is poor. 10 iv pros - price and battery life. Will probably need replacement in couple years because of overall poor performance, which won’t keep up with latest OS and software requirements. 5 iii pros - still cheaper than 5 iv and better performance than 10 iv, 256 Gb storage. Worst choice in long run due to Android 12 being the last one available. 5 iv pros - newest model, best performance out of the three, 256 Gb storage. Main use - sound source for e drums and guitar mixer, social networks (dual app setup for Telegram and WhatsApp would be great), books, web browsing, messengers and video calls, movies and long YouTube videos with no picture quality requirements (mostly lectures and debates), offline navigation using Maps.me and Osmand+. No games. No big screen needed. I like the fact that 5 series have decent camera, but I anyway use Fuji X-t2, Ricoh GR iii for photos and have primary phone (iPhone) with me. I like that 5 series have video output via usb C, but I’m yet to decide if I want projector at home or not. What would be your thoughts?
