The Community Manager just admitted on Discord that the game can stably support 10k players concurrently. They also said that their software server capacity update failed in their test environment so that's a wash most likely for the day.They keep harping on the queue fix being software and not hardware. Why? Because networking equipment is expensive as hell and logistics of getting the equipment you need and setting it up is not easy these days. It'll also be useless and huge waste of money if the demand for that capacity dies down enough.But even if they improve server capacity and keep it stable eventually how high can it really go? 15k? Maybe 20k? I doubt that much lol. Supposedly the servers only supported 5k when it first started out and they've been able to get it up to 10k.Meanwhile we know for a fact yesterday the game kicked everyone out and a ton of people re-queued but the authorization server wasn't working and no one was getting in so we saw 51,400+ people in the queue trying to get in... So this is horribly far from what they can support.I think their plan is to just ride this out until the popularity dies down and the queue solves itself for the most part instead of eating the costs of getting more servers. Which is really shooting themselves in the foot with all the money they could have made if they had built the proper infrastructure.This also raises huge concerns with their future monetization and longevity of the game if they didn't plan on having more than 5-10k people playing. How is that sustainable unless they extract as much money as possible from their players???
