Working on a world for a weirdly specific subgenre: ShintoPunk

I thought I'd share the world-building I'm working on for my second novel. So the idea here came from the fact that the Cyberpunk genre often uses East Asian trapping, more often then not near future Japanese urban environments, but rarely ever takes in much of the culture besides the urban sprawl and focuses on tech/robots/whatever.So, I've always been interested in the Shinto faith, so I thought I'd meld the two into a near future/urban fantasy setting focusing on the conflict between faith/magic/religion, and technology. The setting itself is a city in the Southwest of the United States that was built on a large network of leylines that make it a natural place for magic and more so "Fantasy", as the supernatural is mostly referred to here to thrive. For example, the downtown is overrun by European fae and plant creatures alongside normal citizens going about their day.The city itself is a circle divided into four sectors (Downtown/business, science/research, governmental, and housing) With a large tower at the center where the city's founder, a woman who is actually a centuries-old daughter of a human father and local earth goddess mother lives. Our protagonist is a 19-year-old Shinto priestess/Miko who moved to the city with her mother as a means to make money acting as a sort of medium and exorcist who keeps the peace between fantasy and reality both as a freelancer and alongside the local police force. So yeah I just thought I'd share and want to see if you've come up with any other niche subgenre's you've created/enjoyed working with.
