Too often people choose to abandon a ranked match due to the lack of a proper punishment, 10 minute ban from competitive modes is not a proper deterrent, they will simply just go for something else for 10 minutes and come back. And on top of being forced into a greatly disadvantaged state, you will lose rank score and also be banned yourself for leaving said match, even if your alone on your team. hell you don't even get any incentives to keep playing in an disadvantaged state such as bonus token/ more rank for beating the odds and winning on a 2 man team. The finals is an fantastic game One where even if you and your team play like absolute dogsh for 80% of the match you often can still snag that win for the next round in the final minute thanks to that final 18k cashbox , I'll never understand why people choose to dip and ruin it for others when there's almost always a chance to come back.Personally I feel the ranked season should have a strike system, If people intentionally leave ranked matches 4-5 times in a season they should be barred from playing ranked for the remainder of the season.Adding a deterrent of this level is extreme but it will also make people give a second thought before dipping simply cause they don't like the way the current match is going.Yes I understand there are situations like the game crashing/ losing network connection, but this is for the people who alt f4 or quit though the menu , which the devs 100% can detect if needed. Just my thoughts
