First, trigger warning! Second, very long and honest.I graduated from UC Davis five years ago.Since then life has become brutally hard for a lot of us.Many of my friends who graduated with me are now receiving letters saying their health insurance premiums are going to rise by over one thousand dollars a month. If you have health issues it can be far more than that. Several of them are saying flat out that they will be homeless unless ACA subsidies continue.People always say you become more conservative after college.What I became was aware.Healthcare is not a benefit in this country.It is a tax.✌️❤️🔥🙏👽🖖In 2024 my former partner died homeless.They never told me what was happening in their life. I had no idea until I found out they had died. They died in poverty. Alone. Unhoused.Another close female friend of mine died from drug addiction. She was well educated, articulate, and kind. I had no idea she was struggling. She dressed well. She hid the reality of her life. She was living out of her car and never let anyone see what was really happening.I am not telling you this to scare you.I am telling you this because there are people you know right now who are suffering quietly.So many of these deaths are preventable.Universal healthcare. Mental healthcare. Decentralized microhousing.What we are witnessing is a genocide against the poor.You might be comfortable right now. You might be doing well.But unless you are at the very top you can lose everything.How many people have to die before we admit change is necessary?This is not about hatred. This is not about anger.Compassion and unity are what will save lives.The revolution is not a fantasy.It is a necessity.✌️❤️🔥👽🌛🙏When people talk about taxes they ignore reality.We already pay massive taxes.We just pay them to private corporations instead of public systems.Healthcare. Housing. Education. Transportation.Our European counterparts often pay less overall because they are not being drained by both the government and corporate monopolies at the same time.🖖🙏👽We need a social revolution. A complete reworking of society.Insider trading must be banned.If politicians profit in Congress then ninety percent of those profits should go into a public fund that pays a universal income dividend to the people.We must end the system where residential taxes fund schools.Rich neighborhoods get great schools. Poor neighborhoods get neglected schools.This leads to high truancy, illiteracy, and severe comprehension gaps in the poorest communities.This is not an accident.The system is designed to keep the poor poor.If you are exhausted and desperate you will never examine the system that exploits you.👽🙏🖖Now college graduates are being forced into poor communities because rent is unaffordable and living in vehicles is criminalized.They arrive and see failing schools, neglected infrastructure, and yet massive funding for militarized police forces whose job is to suppress revolt rather than protect people.This is by design.🖖🙏💫Personal responsibility matters.But personal responsibility does not mean obedience.Personal responsibility means responsibility to your community.It means liberation and accountability.🖖🙏👽One of the most painful things I see is how the poor turn on each other.Instead of uniting against corporate landlords and exploitative systems we fight one another.I saw this clearly while doing delivery work near Davis.A man screamed at me because he thought I would steal tools from his truck.He was not evil. He was terrified.People had stolen from him before. He owned a small business and had to install cameras just to survive.That fear is manufactured.🖖🙏🌛I grew up in foster care before I ever made it to UC Davis.I lived with kids raised in organized crime and extreme poverty.Some had been forced into sex work as children. Others were pushed into drug dealing to survive.This is a cannibalistic system.It is why many poor people support authoritarian figures.They are taught the only way forward is to climb over others.Yes crime can make money.But it is a betrayal of humanity.The poor cannot win by consuming each other.There is no wealth there. Only shared exploitation.🖖💫🙏What saved people was cooperation.In foster care I tried to organize against abusive rules. It was difficult because scarcity teaches people to fight for scraps.But remember the story of stone soup.Everyone contributes a little and suddenly everyone eats.That is the truth they do not want you to remember.🖖💫👁️We must reclaim unused corporate land.We must build decentralized housing, science, healthcare, and education.Corporations receive billions to build projects they never even occupy while communities are left impoverished.We have been trained to worship wealth instead of investing in each other.Vertical systems are collapsing.Horizontal systems are the future.✌️❤️🔥🖖💫🥵After graduating I saw the lie clearly.Degrees do not guarantee stability.Jobs disappear. Layoffs are constant. Friends in their thirties and forties are moving back home. Many are depressed. Many are suicidal. Many are leaving the country.The only real value education gives you is critical thinking and collaboration.You may have to create your own work.Your own lab. Your own cooperative.
