Leaving business school for engineering school?

full image - Repost: Leaving business school for engineering school? (from Reddit.com, Leaving business school for engineering school?)
Context:I am in a middle class family and graduated from a Texas public high school and never really explored my interests but got a very high GPA. I took mostly dual enrollment classes during high school (mistake) rather than AP classes. When applying to colleges I considered going to business schools or going to engineering. Ultimately, I decided to go to Babson College, received a Diversity Leadership Award full tuition scholarship (parents still pay $15k a year for room and food) and was kind of lucky to get in because I had a 1070 SAT (applied test optional). I have finished a year at Babson and have a 3.75 GPA. Now I am considering going to engineering school because Babson doesn’t have an engineering program. Unfortunately, I haven’t taken Calculus nor Physics so I think it’ll be difficult to get into a good engineering school and still get a full tuition. At this point I think my best option is going to a community college or my local public university (University of Houston—Cullen College of Engineering). I think this is my best option because it’ll still be around the same cost of $15k/year as long as I commute. Not to mention, I think some schools have credit hour caps where if I exceed it I’d have to pay full tuition (eg, University of Houston has a 180 credit cap). I mentioned the latter because I have 66 credit hours from taking dual enrollment classes in high school and doing a semester at Babson. Some people tell me to finish my Babson degree and then get an engineering degree, but I wouldn’t want to be 26 years old when I graduate from college. I also want to enjoy some of my 20’s since it’s my youth. Some reasons for me wanting to become an engineer: - Lots of top CEOs come from engineering backgrounds. - Think it’s better to get undergrad engineering (even if it’s from less prestigious school) and then get an MBA. - Learn how products work. - A professor of mine told me that everything I learn in business school is broad and essentially useless since they teach me the stuff on the job. - I feel working with numbers in finance and business won’t feel meaningful since it’s just numbers. My long-term goals: - Get rich to the point I don’t have to worry about money. Preferably sooner rather than later. - Have a family. - Enjoy 20’s. - Have a lucrative job/business that I’m passionate about so I can avoid burnout.Things to keep in mind: - I think I want to do mechanical engineering since I hear how versatile it is and because it’s tangible. I don’t like the idea of computer science since it’s all intangible.- Other than engineering I considered becoming a commercial real estate broker and then investing in cool tech companies. - Babson is relatively prestigious so I think the network is good, I don’t think UH is as prestigious and especially community colleges. Thus, I’d sacrifice network if I go to UH or community collegeIn conclusion, I wanted to get everyone’s opinions and what you all think I should do considering I’m thinking of switching to engineering school and going to a less prestigious school?
