Slow SMB Performance - Fixed by Suspending BitLocker on Main OS Drive - But why?

I've been having speed issues accessing my NTFS formatted BitLocker drives via SMB from my Macbook Pro M1 Max that I explain here in more detail: https://ift.tt/8FAK5gu am using a 2.5Gbps ethernet connection and was now able to improve the speed a lot by suspending BitLocker on my main drive, which is where my Windows operating system lives. I haven't shut BitLocker down on any of the other internal or external drives I have, but even on those, performance was drastically improved by almost 100% from 80 MB/s to 160 MB/s. 160 MB/s is about the speed I would expect from the hard drive I'm using on my Windows PC. So far, so good.I don't quite understand how that one drive can impact all the other ones though. And why it only seems to be a problem when I access it via SMB from my Macbook Pro? I am getting a lot faster speeds when I read/write data directly on my Windows PC. Slow speeds are only happening when I try to do the same via network with my Macbook Pro.As I said, I have only suspended BitLocker on my main drive, but after testing all the other drives, I can confirm that performance is indeed better by almost 100% on all of them - although speed on my SSDs seems to be bottlenecked by the 2.5Gbps ethernet connection.I tried another PC with basically the same setup and configuration but without BitLocker encryption on the main drive and was getting even better SMB performance there - almost 250 MB/s. Perhaps suspension isn't opening the drive completely on my main Windows PC? Then again, there shouldn't be such a huge difference in read/write speeds just because it goes through a network as Windows itself can write to that suspended drive at speeds of almost 500 MB/s.The Windows PC I am sharing the files from is also definitely not bottlenecked by hardware as I am using a Ryzen 9 3950X, 64GB of RAM and fast storage.Perhaps someone else had the same issue in the past and can help me out here? I'd love to keep BitLocker active just to be safe, so I really hope there's another solution here.Thank you guys so much in advance!
