Hi friends - I’m trying to help my wife get her new MacBook Air up and running from a Time Machine backup of her old (much older, actually) MacBook Air. Using Migration Assistant, she attempted to restore via TM. Initially the restore seemed to be progressing well but about 3 hours in, the progress bar seemingly stopped moving and the remaining time for the restore just keeps ticking up. Some background that may be relevant:The old MBA is at least 5 but probably more years old. It’s running Big Sur and I don’t believe is able to upgrade to anything newer than that as I don’t see any OS version updates. The old MBA backs up via Time Machine on our Synology NAS. New MBA is connected via WiFi to our network. According to stats on our router, the connection is “excellent”Based on where we’re at, with the restore seemingly not progressing, what’s our next course of action? Can we restart and try the restore again? I work in tech but my Mac knowledge is pretty dated, so I’m kinda lost and looking for advice on how best to get her restore back on track.
