USB disk [1] woke up from hibernation.

HDD Hibernation: there is "USB drives will hibernate after being inactive for the configured time period" setting there. Turned out if I set it to 20 minutes - my HDD will wake up every 20 minutes. Thought it is counter intuitive and HDD should hibernate after set time period according to description. My expectation for this use case is the following: USB drive wake up at 2 am, do backup, wait for 30 more minutes and hibernate for the next 23.5 hours till the next backup task. Am I understanding the setting wrong? How can I fix this and keep HDD hibernated between backups?" title="USB disk [1] woke up from hibernation.">full image - Repost: USB disk [1] woke up from hibernation. (from Reddit.com, USB disk [1] woke up from hibernation.)
I have a DS923+ set up at home for couple months. And also I have a WD easystore drive always connected to the NAS and doing HyperBackup task every night at 2am. External drive is hidden from "MyNetwork Places" in the Shared folder settings and not being used for anything else other that HyperBackup.Recently I noticed that I constantly hear External Drive spinning and checked the logs. Turned out my drive wakes up from hibernation every 30 minutes. |||||Info|System|2024/06/09 18:08:03|SYSTEM|USB disk [1] woke up from hibernation.||Info|System|2024/06/09 17:37:17|SYSTEM|USB disk [1] woke up from hibernation.||Info|System|2024/06/09 17:07:02|SYSTEM|USB disk [1] woke up from hibernation.||Info|System|2024/06/09 16:36:15|SYSTEM|USB disk [1] woke up from hibernation.||Info|System|2024/06/09 16:04:28|SYSTEM|USB disk [1] woke up from hibernation.||Info|System|2024/06/09 15:32:41|SYSTEM|USB disk [1] woke up from hibernation.||Info|System|2024/06/09 15:00:54|SYSTEM|USB disk [1] woke up from hibernation.||Info|System|2024/06/09 14:29:08|SYSTEM|USB disk [1] woke up from hibernation.||Info|System|2024/06/09 13:57:22|SYSTEM|USB disk [1] woke up from hibernation.||Info|System|2024/06/09 13:26:36|SYSTEM|USB disk [1] woke up from hibernation.|I have tried to tinker timer in Hardware&Power -> HDD Hibernation: there is "USB drives will hibernate after being inactive for the configured time period" setting there.
