I’m thrilled to announce its successor, PrintGuard, a completely revamped, open-source project for real-time 3D print monitoring that runs locally on your edge devices.The biggest leap forward is the brand new, custom-trained detection model that is truly state-of-the-art. It’s built from the ground up to be lightweight and powerful, allowing for incredible performance on low-power hardware. I’ve gone from <1 FPS on a Raspberry Pi 4 (2GB) with the old Obico-based model (formerly known as Spaghetti Detective) to a smooth ~15 FPS with the new PrintGuard model.
