I'm genuinely at a loss. I've been applying to entry-level CRC jobs in NYC for the past 3 months. I've applied to several hospitals, yet heard back from none. I only got offered 1 interview after I reached out to the PI directly. On Linkedin, I saw that many students that graduated from my college last year with the same experiences & major as me were able to obtain a CRC role at the exact hospital that I keep getting only rejections from. (I graduated this year)I have several years of experience in patient-care as a medical assistant and volunteering in hospitals. I don't have any clinical research experience but I do have human-subjects psych and chem research experience. I have experience getting IRB approval, participant recruitment, survey/study design, etc. which I try to convey in my cover letters. Is my lack of clinical research experience holding me back despite the positions saying they're entry-level and other students in the role having the same experiences?Should I be trying to get jobs using networking/connection instead? - If you have any advice on how to do that, please lmk!
