What happened in Chicago isn’t “law enforcement.” It’s terror. It’s kidnapping. It’s the state making war on immigrant communities. And yet, much of the mainstream media is barely reporting it or framing it as a routine ICE operation. On September 30th, federal agents stormed an apartment building in South Shore. Doors kicked in, flashbangs detonated, tear gas choking the air. Around 37 people dragged out. ICE claims they were “gang members,” but witnesses say families were terrorized, kids ripped from beds, women pulled into the street half-dressed. Some people say children were separated from their parents in the chaos. That’s not a raid. That’s state violence. And it didn’t stop there. In the days after, unmarked vehicles started showing up across Bronzeville, Cicero, the Northwest Side, East Garfield Park. People were being grabbed in the street, detained in parking lots, shoved into vans. Activists say they saw a Black man choked out by agents right on the sidewalk. These aren’t “arrests.” These are disappearances happening in plain sight.Officials want us to believe this was a targeted strike against a Venezuelan gang, Tren de Aragua. That’s the excuse. That’s the cover story. But the reality? Whole communities are being terrorized. Innocent people swept up, children traumatized, families destroyed. And what do our leaders do? Governor Pritzker condemns it with one hand, then floats the idea of deploying the National Guard with the other. Mayor Johnson calls it “excessive” but stops short of action. Federal power is flexing on Chicago, and local leaders are folding instead of fighting. This is state terror, plain and simple. This is fascism on U.S. soil.⸻What we need to do:• Expose the truth: Don’t let ICE and DHS spin this as “security.” Share footage, testimonies, everything.• Demand accountability: Names, charges, documents. NOT secrecy.• Support survivors: Legal defense, bail funds, mutual aid. Chicago rapid-response networks are already mobilizing.• Stand in solidarity: Protests, marches, noise in the streets. Make it impossible to ignore.⸻Chicago is a warning. This is what happens when fascism isn’t stopped: they test it on the most vulnerable, and then they expand it everywhere. This isn’t immigration enforcement. This is a rehearsal for something much bigger. We have to keep reporting. We have to keep shouting. We cannot let them normalize kicking down doors, kidnapping people, and terrorizing entire neighborhoods.❗️Sources: https://ift.tt/z1di7ZH
