I came to the UK to do my Master’s in Business Analytics, hoping to land a meaningful job as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or Business Analyst. Those were the roles I was qualified for, and I truly believed that with enough hard work, something would come through.I applied everywhere. Went through countless interviews. I even made it to the final round with a top insurance company after a three stage process. In the end, they told me it came down to two people, and they chose someone who didn’t need visa sponsorship.That same story played out over and over again. In total, I faced more than 500 rejections.At one point, I started to question everything. Is getting a job the only path to success? The answer was clear to me: no, it’s not.The truth is, I was never a heavy tech guy, but I always had a knack for it a genuine curiosity for how systems, data, and automation worked. That curiosity slowly turned into a skill set.So I decided to stop waiting for someone to give me a chance and started creating my own. I built an AI Automation Agency completely from scratch.I worked odd jobs for months, saved up, learned every skill I could, and went all in. I did door to door outreach, sent cold emails, went to networking events whatever it took to get in front of people.Now I’ve helped multiple small and medium businesses automate their workflows, integrate AI into their processes, and understand how to practically implement AI in their operations. I’ve probably made as much or maybe even more than what a normal data analyst job would pay.Entrepreneurship didn’t just happen to me. It chose me.One thing I’ve noticed is that a lot of people are scared of putting themselves out there , scared of being judged or failing publicly. But honestly, embarrassing yourself is one of the most underrated emotions. Everything you ever wanted is on the other side of it.To anyone out there getting rejection after rejection, just remember that sometimes those no’s are redirections. Keep going. If no one opens the door for you, build your own.
