With all the uncertainty surrounding TP-Link, I thought it was time to move on. After some back and forth with traditional home routers (Asus, Netgear, etc.) I decided to go the "pro-sumer" route and go with Ubiquiti.I thought the obvious route was to go with the Dream Machine SE as I am making the slow upgrade to 10 gig internally. Then I saw the Cloud Gateway Fiber, the IDS/IPS throughput and ability to use any port for WAN sold me. For WiFi I settled on the U7 Lite. I would have liked to have 6GHz, but ultimately it's unnecessary for me at the moment. Although I do have a slight worry two won't be enough to cover my whole house (3000 sq ft...ish)Being completely new to Ubiquiti is there anything I need to keep in mind, or any gotchas during set up? I am (was) a network administrator so I am technically competent (I think?), but Ubiquiti feels like it might be a little less "manual" than what I first thought. One other thing, I did grab a Ubiquiti PoE injector for the 2nd AP since there is only 1 PoE port on the Gateway Fiber. Any thoughts? I will likely add more Ubiquiti gear over time, but I doubt I will ever touch the 50+ devices the Gateway Fiber is rated for.
