Remote WoL over Internet for gaming PC

full image - Repost: Remote WoL over Internet for gaming PC (from Reddit.com, Remote WoL over Internet for gaming PC)
Hey all!So I have my gaming PC upstairs with my steam install. I have a steam link (hardware), a Samsung TV (steam app) and multiple phones with the steam link app. Remote play works fine (except Skyrim which refuses to work right and gives me an all white screen on the client side, but runs properly on the host side).I've been wracking my brain trying to get WoL working properly and consistently.I've gotten it working on my lan using an app on my phone. It'll wake from hibernation and sleep, but not from shut down. Is this possible? I've seen conflicting reports.I also read up and set up a dynamic DNS on my router with noip (xxxx.zapto.org) url. Configured my port forwarding for port 9. If I set the computer to sleep or hibernate and then test with my phone over 5g rather than my Wi-Fi (so I'm not on my network) it has worked immediately. I was super excited. But then I left the computer to sleep over night and tried again while I was at work the next day and it refuses to wake.I've tried everything I can find to keep the network link active in all power states but I get the feeling it's shutting off for some reason after a certain amount of time.Anyone ever gotten this working properly over the Internet? Got any tips? I just want to be able to wake the computer while I'm at work if I have a break and wasn't to play, etc. I don't want to leave the PC on all the runs because it would be a waste of energy 99 percent of the time. Thanks!
