Other player structures

I keep seeing jump ramps, but I feel ziplines would be more helpful. I'm in chapter 5 so I have a fair amount unlocked, I think. But I never take jump ramps. I'm just taking a lot of time to fix up my network of helpful structures. It's there any way to influence what sort of structures I see from other players?
