The title, i have been pirating games for years now and i want to start pirating software.Catch is software piracy is far more dangerous than games. Someone on this subreddit suggested i use virtual machine and work on that using the pirated software.I found a nice tutorial on YouTube and it was very informative, but i learned that some viruses can move from a virtual machine (guest) to the main computer (host) if both have the same network connection or basically spread to any device connected to the network. These viruses apparently are called network viruses? Anyways, can you tell me please what are the dangers and what to do or how to avoid them ? What should i keep an eye out for or what’s not to do? And if you use virtual machines, what are you workflow ? Do you download .rar or .zip files on the host then transfer them to the guest and unpack them there without connecting wifi to the VM ? Or does it not matter if both the host and guest are connected to the same network? As you can tell i have many questions and i am excited to learn more about this subject, thanks you for your time.
