Hi all. I need some advice to see if my current setup which is the CCR2004-16G-2S+PC (my router) + the CRS317-1G-16S+RM is sufficient for 8Gbps home internet. All my desktops have SFP+ cards, so I have 10G networking, and then 1 QNAP switch to 2.5G for my wireless. My ISP supports 8Gbps FttH, and the prices are coming down steadily.Would replacing the 2 devices with the CCR2004-1G-12S+2XS make any sense? I am sort of looking at it from a power point of view as well, seems it would draw less power? Currently I use 3 of the ports on the CRS317 normally, but do use all 5 when everything is running (I keep most of it off when not needed). Except for the one link and my XGSPON module, everything is DAC. I have however seen a few forums say the CCR2004-1G-12S+2XS is a bit of an odd device with it's PIPEUnless the better option in this case is going for the CCR2116-12G-4S+?
