Autorestic vs Kopia for backup

full image - Repost: Autorestic vs Kopia for backup (from Reddit.com, Autorestic vs Kopia for backup)
I have been an autorestic user for a long time. After trying out Kopia for a few days, here are some thoughts:Both can create snapshots and store them to variety of storage backends. While autorestic makes restic much easier to use, Kopia has an easier to use CLI.Kopia is significantly faster, while restic has much lower memory usage.Autorestic can backup to multiple backends via single command, Kopia needs extra "sync-to" command.Kopia has a server mode for serving multiple clients over network. All autorestic settings are in one config file. I haven't found out where Kopia stores it's policy settings.Autorestic is a warpper of restic, there is a risk that restic introduces breaking changes which break autorestic.Kopia has a WebUI, but it requires to install the whole desktop environment.Since I don't have lots of files to backup, so memory usage isn't a big issue for me. I'm keeping Kopia for now.
