Why don't blackmailers or sextortionists use LinkedIn to find victim connections?

Had this thought the other day. Most social network apps have pretty accessible controls to block the scammer, even to the point of seeing contacts or messaging.LinkedIn, while being more niche, is much trickier to handle privacy, especially since people there want to keep discoverability on for the sake of job seeking.Additionally, I would argue having messages sent to your connections in the professional level is far more frightening. Letter of recommendation? Potential irl networking? Prospective employers? The notion of all those going away upon any embarrassing content coming their way sounds very influential, plus a lot of people have personal connections that overlap on LinkedIn. Am I missing something? I suppose more focus is on looser, potential connections so there might be less collateral, but still.Whar do you guys think?
