USA Southeast, Late 20s, Business degree. ~5 years of experience.Back in 2021 I could spam apply on Linkedin or direct on a companies website. That would get enough callbacks to keep me busy, and with some offers in hand. This market is astonishing. about 3 months have gone by for me with several hundred applications and zero interviews.Now with this market it seems to be down to more of the referral, or networking leads (not that that has got me anywhere either). Blind applying hasnt been too effective. I have had several automated emails about my resume making it to the next round, to the hiring manager, but still no callback for an interview/screen. This has always been for positions where I applied in the first day or so of the posting.OKSo early in the week I see most of the new postings from big companies. I try and apply and seem to be busiest in doing this early in the week. From Linkedin, the company site, or my list of target companies. Along with this I try and send out Linkedin messages to people that work for that company - who are school alumni, or from my past companies alumni. By the end of the week it is just applying for decent fit and trying connect more. Sometimes I will have generic networking calls. The goal is to be referred to other people to speak with, and ideally an actual referral.Weekends it is just more catching up on companies that have posted. and then finding people that I will message to on monday. Resume edits, to see if anything new or format will start to catch. Linkedin profile updating.
