Started working for speedway in May, got a new regional manager in June. One of his new Policies ( as told to me by store manager 1) is that we are not allowed to accept tips unless the customer actually hands us the money. saying "keep the change" isn't good enough any more. Then a month later our store manager (1) is replaced by new store manager (2). She held a meeting with everyone when she officially took over, and stated in the meeting (i have it on recording) that we aren't allowed to accept any tips at all anymore and that any tip money goes into the Children's Miracle Network jar.This is a blatant violation of U.S. labor code, and I have already talked to a lawyer and the 7-11 ethics hotline about it. Currently in the process of exposing it and going through legal channels. Just curious if any other speedway / 7-11 employees have had to deal with this as well.
